Certification Step 2 (closed to new students until further notice)



Step 2 involves making three consecutive compost piles according to the instructions in the compost class that you took, the certification program information on the website and the guidance provided from your mentor provides. This can take a full growing season. So, start the process of making good compost ASAP.

• Make the compost
• Record the Data
• Perform biological Analysis
• Submit data for approval

During this part of your training, we ask for payment of fees of $1,225 based on 35 hours mentoring time to work through the process of making good compost. If you require more time, then you will need to pay for additional hours until you achieve the goal of making good compost and your mentor approves your work.

(35 hours mentoring at $35 an hour)

Note: Generally, students take between 1 to 2 year to complete the full certification process.
